Gumloop vs n8n pricing
n8n charges per workflow execution: one full run counts once, however many steps it has. Gumloop charges credits for what an agent actually does. That covers model tokens at the provider's list price (1 credit = $0.005), at least 1 credit per successful tool call, 5 credits per session-minute of compute, and an 8% orchestration fee on top. Gumloop's docs say the same agent might cost 2 credits for a quick question and 200 for a deep research task.

AI agents and MCP
Gumloop is now agent-first. Its pricing page lists the original drag-and-drop builder as Workflows (Legacy). Agents connect to apps through Gumloop's catalog of hosted MCP connectors or your own custom MCP servers. They can search a company knowledge base (Brain), use skills, a code sandbox and an agent browser with saved logins, and run on triggers and schedules. Pro includes hosting for one custom MCP server, and Gumloop also offers its own MCP, a CLI and an API.
n8n builds agents inside workflows. Every Cloud plan includes the AI Agent node, the MCP Server Trigger (expose a workflow as an MCP tool), the MCP Client, instance-level MCP and human approval for tool calls. You also get JavaScript and Python code steps and evaluations.

Try Gumloop ↗FAQ
Is Gumloop cheaper than n8n?
Usually not for high-volume workflows. n8n Cloud starts at €20/month (billed annually) for 2,500 executions, and self-hosted Community Edition is free. Gumloop Pro starts at $37/month for 20,000 credits, and agent costs vary with the model, tool calls and run time.
Is Gumloop free?
Gumloop offers a 14-day free trial of its Pro plan. After that, Pro starts at $37/month. Enterprise pricing is custom.
Can I self-host Gumloop?
Gumloop is a cloud service. Its Enterprise plan adds an optional Virtual Private Cloud. If self-hosting is a requirement, n8n is the usual choice.
Which is better for AI agents?
Gumloop is easier for non-developers who want ready-made agents with company knowledge, Slack and Teams access. n8n gives technical teams more control, with AI Agent nodes, MCP server and client nodes, human approval for tool calls and code steps.
Do Gumloop credits roll over?
No. The 20k monthly credit allotment resets each billing period. If you run out mid-month, agents stop until you enable pay-as-you-go at $0.005 per credit.
